I can't remember all the times good husbandship, placing my credit card on the counter to pay for something my Sweetie was particularly excited about finding, found me shaking my head on pay-the-bills day a month later, but as you have learned, it was always worth it. The last time it happened was on the rainy day we took a day off from walleye fishing to have lunch and explore some of her favorite stores in Grand Marais, Minnesota. This time it was a green dress, a bit pricy, but being Irish, green always looked good on her even at age 80. Six months later, she was buried in it.

We were fortunate to be able to see the Met's Fedora Saturday in our local movie theater. It looks like we saved $450 and could not only read the subtitles, but see all the singers up close! During the intermission, the singers or conductor are interviewed and you also get to see the sets being changed. I find this all very interesting and it helps my understanding of the opera, as well. Check out The Met Live in HD. Barbara
