Lyle Tollerud thought he had put his tractor in gear — but he hadn't. He stepped off the tractor and it started moving and ran over his foot. Then it rolled into the chicken coop, sending the chickens flying quite a distance. He hoped the episode would remain a secret, but this secret went far and wide and defined him for years to come.
