We all know that Donald is an extreme example of a narcissist. I also think that he has dementia of some sort. He is like a lot of people in that he does not know that things and times change -- particularly in economics and politics. Tariffs might have been great in 1890 for William McKinley, but that does not mean that they are a good idea now.

I know that he wants to be a dictator and settle scores and be the center of attention all the time. But much of what he does just seems to be inflicting misery for the sake of inflicting misery with no real purpose behind it. A lot of the misery is inflicted on people he does not know.

He should have just coasted on the Biden economy, played some golf, and had a successful second term.

Donald excels at PR and as a con man and grifter. But here again I wonder why? He is so obviously dishonest. Why would anyone follow him or work for him? It really is a puzzle.

Thanks, Garrision. I always look forward to your comments. I have been following your comments and listening to your programs for many years and still find them interesting.

Inflicting misery and sowing fear and chaos are what Trump is all about. These are his life mission; his "spiritual curriculum", as one of my Unitarian friends might say. It's important to understand that he's not just a narcissist. He's a fully fledged sociopath.

I don't aways listen to the blogs, but did this one and liked it a lot. He talks about the youth,

and I wonder about them growing up in our world today. His comments about our President are not rants (to me) but thoughtful criticisms.

Except that you still haven't "pulled the plug," G.K., but that's OK because if you didn't vent a little bit once in a while, you'd likely explode, and your venting gets funnier and funnier as we go. "He could turn the Rose Garden into a Tesla lot and the East Room into a casino and paint the White House mauve and we’d say, 'Well, that’s him doing his thing.' The only thing that would amaze us is if he wore a green tie." Yup.

You know it is not that easy- to go on just living your life- for any of us- even you. I am 5 years behind you with 4 adult boys- between 52 and 41. Seven grandchildren- I can not just live my life without worry- regardless of how short it may be. But as Willie Nelson said- worrying never gets you anything but sick. I hope I can be like Garrison and/or Willie when I grow up!

Over the last two days I've driven from Michigan, through Ohio, a little WV, and plenty more mountains in KY, VA, and TN, coming to rest tonight in Johnson City before finishing the drive to Penland School of Craft in NC in the morning. I stopped in Huntington, WV, to join their protest for an hour before the next 6 hours winding through the beautiful Appalachians. Huntington (pop around 45K) had a good 2-3 hundred at their NO KINGS event. My hometown, Midland, MI, a town of similar size, had about 1700 (not metric!). Americans are speaking loudly. The mango Mussolini has until after the 2026 election (if it occurs) to rip our democracy apart. We must demonstrate our resistance loudly and in large numbers until he is castrated.

Garrison, I think you are onto something. I agree, nothing Trump does surprises me anymore. I have learned to not be surprised. However, I would be surprised if he gave credit to someone other than himself. And I would also be surprised if he bowed out gracefully. And there are others too that I guess resemble some sort of hope.

But I think he will wear a green tie!!!

Thanks for everything Garrison, hope you have a great week!!!

Your comments about our current administration, correct as they may be, accurate as they may be, are getting old, redundant, tired, repetitious. Take your pick. We who have followed you for decades are wondering whether your mind is becoming so obsessive and single – tracked as to be on the verge of what we used to call senility. There are so many other things going on in the world today, that I just can't help but wonder about your obsession with the current (thank God) President and his administration. Can you focus on something else, for just one week?

There are millions of Americans obsessive of Trump because he is destroying the USA. I weep for my children and grandchildren to live in a country with Trump controlling our country. We have had some bad Presidents but not any as evil as Trump.

There is no tiring of speaking truth to tyranny and much of the many “other things going on in the world today” track back to our tyrant in the White House.

This is reminiscent of an earlier time: 1930s Germany, I think. They were called "good Germans" because they chose to not see the horror surrounding them. Garrison and millions of others refuse to be "good Germans."

I get up smiling everyday and can’t wait to see what the President has done! He is infinitely entertaining and funny…something you USE to be. Lighten up. Trump is a breath of fresh air after the tortuous last four years with a stumbling, bumbling, feeble minded President and an absent VP. Kamala would have let others run the country, as Biden did and probably Obama was compliant with their directives. But Trump is his own man, a narcissist, a blow hard, a stretcher of the truth but By God, he listened to the American people and his actions speak for them. He is doing EXACTLY what he said he would do. His supports love it. Get it now?

“Entertaining” is the absolutely best thing you can say about the lying, cheating, vengeful, sadistic, convicted sexual assaulter and adjudicated felon in the White House, for whom you, to your eternal shame, voted. You may love what he is doing, but most Americans do not.

He didn’t listen to the American people; he merely used what a lot of them said they wanted, to get what HE wanted.

Martin, obviously you do not understand the Democratic voting system. He was not just liked by a few deranged Americans, he was liked by more than half the population. He did not just win the electoral college, he won the popular vote as well. This is how democracy works. He is doing what the majority of the population in America wanted him to do. Apparently, as always, the losers are now out in droves whining like babies because their side lost. Get over it. In three years you'll have another shot at putting up another socialist against (hopefully) another republican nominee. But my prediction is that no matter how wonderful the Republican nominee will be, if he wins, the losers will be out there whining and crying just like they are today.

Garrison. I look forward to your wit and humor and your ABILITY to see things as they really are. To recognize the truth about the situation we are all currently living in. But for some.....well maybe it depends on where you live. Some, simply will not see the kaos. I am glad you can live your good life and enjoy the extra years your heart surgeon gave you. You are a boon to our daily living and we hope to hear more of your thoughts and observations. For those who have negative thoughts on Garrison, speak when the 4 yrs are up.
