Amen, brother Garrison, and I am glad you are enjoying yourself and those who love you.

Been there, done that also. Still impossible to forgive the bitch. She lied, it's as simple as that, and it was a big lie, simple as that. Now we are going through a period of "time heals all wounds". The relationship is better, been several years and she is family. We are catholic and forgiveness is preached a lot.

I want to believe time wounds all heels.

As desirable as forgetting wrongs committed against us is, it does not qualify as forgiveness in the absence of repentance by the wrongdoer (Luke 17:4).

Timely once again, dear Garrison. You just made me feel much better about my upcoming ankle joint replacement. If an agnostic's thoughts and prayers count, you have mine. Now if I too could learn to forgive. Thank you for all your work. Oh, and try compression socks, less pulling up required. Peace

Prayers for you dear Funny Man, that the surgery goes well. I can't imagine how much you make caregivers smile along the way!

You seem to have had a life well led and have brought true joy to countless people over many years, so be at peace and don't worry about forgiving those you wish to rot in hell. The sentiments are incompatible. My warmest and most sincere wishes for a speedy and easy recovery -- and don't be too concerned about what they say about personality changes after such surgery; those around you return to normal pretty quickly. It just happened to me.

Thank you. Today is my 60-1 birthday, and thoughts on the practice of forgiveness are a good way to begin one’s birthday. From where I stand, Jesus knows it’s hard to forgive; He knows our weaknesses. And I totally concur with the ‘not the same thing as reconciling.’ Sometimes forgiving one and just coexisting can be enough.

Over the years your work has meant more to me than you can know. Writings and a PHC. It has formed a part of me. Thank you, and a happy belated birthday.

That night at the Tivoli in Chattanooga was one of the most special evenings ever. Thank you for the love we felt swirling in that old ornate place and for all the PHC shows. We love you here in Mississippi and are praying for healing. Bless your heart!

Poor, dear man,

Jesus, bleeding and dying for sins he did not commit, said, “Forgive them. They do not know what they are doing.” Forgiving the ones we love is easy. That’s probably why we are supposed to learn to love our neighbors as ourselves, THEN love our enemies. If I want to be forgiven, I have to forgive. If I consider how much I have been forgiven, and by whom…. That is what is so amazing about Grace

Your neighbor,

Dawn
