All prior Nashville and Memphis, TN, shows were simply amazing. As anyone could tell, we who live down South love our a cappella harmony singing. Happy Birthday to thee, me, Bill, Tipper, and all other August folks.
We’ve seen his solo show twice and both times were great. The show at the Ryman was good ( Garrison AND the Ryman?!?! What’s not to love?!?), but our favorite was at the Caverns in Pelham, TN. Not only are the acoustics amazing, but the setting just feels more personal. After the show, we walked out of the cave to discover Garrison standing on the sidewalk talking to anyone who wanted to talk. My favorite part was when we all sang. It’s amazing to hear that many total strangers come together for the first time and we all know the words and sing together as though we’ve been practicing all week. I highly recommend the solo show for all fans, and I hope that he does another one in Kentucky or Tennessee soon.
We went to one of Garrison’s solo shows in RI about two years ago and loved it. We arrived right after he did and got to talk to him. One of his former guests, the ukulele player Rachel Manke is the sister of one of our colleagues. Unfortunately my husband (a few months younger than GK) said the wrong first name when he asked Garrison about her so he didn’t realize who it was. I was going to buy tickets for one of the two upcoming shows, each about a two hour drive from where we live, but they were all sold out! I hope he can continue to do them because we would love to go again.
In an age of grandiose spectacles to see one very perceptive, very intelligent man stand up on a dark stage and gently tell the world what it needs to hear but forgot to listen to... is a great gift to humanity. To the limited extent there is any (humanity) left in us. Mr. Keillor finds it and brings it out.
Please call The orange man “Trump” rather than Trailer trash? Those of us living on Social Security in a nice park have taken great offense to your remark about Trump, although we both hate him, as “Trailer trash from Queens.”

WHY NOT SAY, "I'M VISITING ALL OF NEW ENGLAND." IT'S MORE TERSE AND PITHY.
