I love the work of Garrison Keillor. I listened to his show religiously starting in February 1983. I've seen him live 4 times over the years in the Dallas area, Twice at free book events, and twice when I didn't pay more than $20 to see Him. I have hundreds of His recordings, that I originally got on tapes, but now have downloaded off the internet. I now regularly listen to, or watch Him on YouTube. Why in the Hell would I pay $100 per ticket to see Him Live now? Just for nostalgia sake? Sorry, I don't think so. More power to those who will, but not me.

I feel exactly the same way. I get in for free and I get to sing duets with Heather Masse and Christine DiGiallonardo. I might pay $45 for the privilege but not $100.

Hahaha! You still make me laugh Garrison. Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing this show in TX!

Seeing an event like this in person adds more to the experience than just hearing a recording, but I would love it if was available in the future on CD. It would go right next to the four Annual Farewell broadcasts, and the 5th, 10th, 20th, 30th and 40th Anniversary CDs that I have right beside me.

A friend and I just returned from the show in Lancaster. It was wonderful. Funny, touching, amusing, a lovely time. So happy to join in with the audience singing, and appreciated old standards and oldish favorites from Tom Waits, Van Morrison, the Beatles and others. Thank you for your optimism and for showing us younger folk (by just a few years) how it’s possible to grow older with piss and pepper, optimism, and grace.

Saw this show last night with my husband for our anniversary and it was amazing! Despite the earlier comment from Paul Carroll, it was worth every penny!!
