I am already a paid subscriber but in this email you are yelling me that I am on a free list. What's up with that? Please send me a link to the music on my subscriber account. The email is serettamartin@yahoo.com
The same think happened to me when I logged in using a different browser. I had to go back to the original URL that I got after I paid. Now I can look at it in both browsers.
Agreed, I've been a musician of sorts most of my life, and there are very important moments occasionally for audience members and players alike. It's the main reason why we keep doing it. Unfortunately, most of it depends on good hearing, not a permanent capability in any regard. I look forward to the day when auditory nerve implants and audio brain computer interfaces provide a means to bypass ears entirely.
Well...I always appreciate you. Just bought your Cheerfulness. It’s not particularly cheerful. But then you remind me (some aspect of your demeanour) of an undertaker. In this podcast you travel from rhapsodizing about one musical experience to making most unpleasant judgement about another.
I think you weren’t feeling well. I forgive you. So does Taylor (you know what Garrison...just now I’ve forgotten her last name...)
Smith? No...that’s not it. Jones? Damn!! I’m only seventy!
Carry on Garrison Keillor. I don’t believe in the good old days. But you represent them well. ❤️
Taylor Swift and her fans are the most self-absorbed in the history of show business. The audacity of a billionaire depending on her $700 tickets to live a jet set lifestyle. Is there no shame in the music industry? Aoife O' Donovan is a more grounded, varied artist. I've heard her Irish songs and their timbre. Do not be deceived Swifies, Taylor just might write a song about you.
The acid test is was this worth listening to? Did it make me think? Yes. Thank you Garrison. I am looking forward to the next one regardless of whether I agree with the sentiment.
Thank you, for an amazing newsletter that brings so much joy, and that kindles thought and evokes remembrances and new feelings, too. Good Heavens, I Love music! (And, the words of Garrison Keillor ☺︎ )
I often sing along with “Attics of my Life”while cooking in the kitchen. Sadly an autoimmune condition has ruined my vocal chords and that little bit of heaven is closed. So, I’m learning to dance!

All that you enumerate as the benefits of living in Manhattan, you may experience in Cleveland, Ohio, without the extortionate rents.

I get that way around amazing dogs like I was at the dog show two days ago on a beautiful summer day,

Euphoria, hard come by, these days!
I love this. Thank you.
This episode was incredible. Big fan. You’re an American treasure, Mr. Keillor.
Very well said, GK.
Thanks, I need that to create perspective in my life. I'll try harder.
