I have listened to this podcast repeatedly.....and still do. Its a good one. Thanks Garrison. Desperately want to see your show in Santa Fe, NM. I hope I can. It would be great to see this done live as I have never seen one. I listened to your radio show for years on the weekends and it always made my day brighter. As always, I am looking forward to your comments and stories.

I lack your optimism about Trump and his ilk, but I enjoy and treasure your commentary. I will be seeing you in person in Atlanta next month. I am so glad you decided to continue your shows. I feel like our country needs you now like the country needed Will Rogers in the 30's. Desperate times need common sense, and kindness delivered in a very palatable nostalgic, humorous way that only Rogers and you have mastered.

Unfortunately I have deleted my account and unsubscribed from Garrison. For a supposed man of faith, his hypocrisy and hatred that he subtly sprinkles has now made it impossible for me to find any humor in anything he says because I am waiting for the next anti Trump comment to pop out. More than half the country wanted substantial change and he is doing it and is is vilified by mindless lefties who think Biden was a sweet old man and didn’t bother anyone from his rocking chair on the porch while Kamala held up the barbed wire on the border to pull in as many voters as possible . When you say you hate Trump it leads me to believe you think sleepy joe and cackling Kamala where doing a good job which forces me to disconnect from NPR and Garrison and all the other entertainment I enjoyed since the 80s when they were moderate. I am all done. Goodbye

Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. There is not one socially redeeming value in Trump. May you live long enough to figure out that you won’t have any country left when trump is done with it. I wish you had the brains to understand that.

Again, perfect example. Sleepy joe and cackling Kamala got to their positions in life because of their upstanding track record and leadership. Joe resembled Kurt Russell in used cars and we all know that Kamala climbed the ladder on her knees

Like clichés much, Alan? "Sleepy Joe" and "cackling Kamala" were already threadbare epithets by last summer, and "Kamala climbed the ladder on her knees" is not only way old but a great example of dated sexism. Leave this stale nonsense to the Fox "News" crew.

Thank you so much for your nuanced and thoroughly sourced political analysis. Enjoy the ride across the River Styx. Don’t forget the coin to pay the boatman. Also payable in $Trump crypto.

It’s very odd that whenever people criticize Trump others interpret that as hating him. It’s not the same thing, although you see it that way. I think you like being the VICTIM. You folks are so preyed upon. So misunderstood. And you support a man who tried to overthrow the government of the United States.

You are so wrong. Trump didn't win a majority; he won popular vote 49.9%. In part, because of promises made that he's already broken. He disavowed Project 2025 & is now carrying it out to the letter. No one wanted to cut childhood cancer research, abandon the FDA food inspections, discard all environmental protections, and give the finger to our Constitution. You obviously learned nothing about the man his first time around. He was fact checked by the Washington Post and other media and was proved to have told over 30,000 lies, distortions, & half truths during his term. You are delusional.

My concern about our country at this time is that compassion has left the country. Racism is running rapid and there is no one willing to change the course we are are traveling.

Can't share your hope on these two, GK. Barring truly divine intervention, malignant narcissists can't really recover, and old-school hardline Boer racists are not known for their moral awakening.

More Keilor vitriolic criticism when Easter is about love, and understanding how the life of Jesus had sent that message to humanity

Republicans’ recent talking point: “the problem with Christianity is too much empathy for people the Bible tells us we shouldn’t feel empathy for,” is, to me, chilling.

It’s not TDS, it’s a rational aversion to amorality, graft, casual cruelty and using a chainsaw instead of a scalpel to fix a problem.

I believe you miss the point, especially when seeking to create a wedge vis-a-vis message of healing for humanity . . .

Since each religion I know of purports to be, “the one true way,” and every other believer in a different “true way” is condemned to eternal hellfire, it’s hard for me to embrace the “healing for humanity” you speak of. Jesus’ message of love, and service to the poor, and stretching and sharing available resources rather than hoarding them for the few is admirable. Persecution cloaked in righteousness is, to me, the worst blasphemy.
