I will add that I still find NPR to be relevant and not pretentious but smart, which is what made it a perfect home for a smart show like PHC. Nowhere else could we have heard such a show.

You wrote to Anne M "You're entitled to your views..." and it's as if a Tiki Torch is being ignited in these polar times! I'm less than a year younger than you, but I can't remember a time when when the interpersonal atmosphere was so politically charged! "Back in the Day", Walter Cronkiet and his ilk had their opinions - but we didn't go around testing everyone we met and judging them by whether they were "Pro-" or "Anti- Cronkiet! " It's too bad there isn't a virus going around that allows folks to open their ears, and hearts, and minds, and actually LISTEN to folks without thinking "They're not in My Camp! Therefore, nothing they have to say could possibly be true!"

"It's Not About You!" is something we need to hear again and again, until folks finally figure out that viruses don't choose sides! We're human, all of us! And until we begin to realize that each of our bodies is a potential host, and that each body that has that "Host hood" reduced is another step in finally getting away from this scourge permanently. We do all need to work together on this! It's just REALITY - NOTHING PERSONAL!
