Flew down to see the Nashville show on the 10th from Chicago, so it wasn’t all Southerners at the Ryman. I spoke to people who had come over and up from Florida and West Virginia, as well as other northerners. I was looking forward to singing with the crowd, and am very happy to have done so, even if I didn’t know all the words. A Coke commercial used to say it wanted to teach the world to sing; we all want to, it seems, together, so it’s not surprising that went over so well!
People can be united through collective experiences, like singing, praying and eating together. You gave us a chance to do two of them by singing hymns. For that, and the entertaining evening you provided, you deserve thanks.
Dear Mr. Keillor, I’ve had the honor of seeing you twice in person, and was happy to see the livestream. Three hours — quite an accomplishment, and I didn’t think it was too long at all. Last month I saw Ringo and his All-Starr Band do a two-hour show during which Ringo only left the stage for a few minutes while other band members played their hits from previous bands. You octogenarians are making me feel like a 71-year-old slacker. Thanks for a great show!
As another person wrote, we would like to watch the Nashville show, but your link doesn't work. Keep up your great work and take care of your health- we need you around another 20+ years so we'll both be over 100!
Oh yes, it was much better that 'good enough'! Thank you for offering the livestream and I will enjoy it again tonight. Sam and Jerry were fantastic; Heather and Aoife sang heavenly; Fred, Tim and the Guys still got it, so glad to see Pat. And you weren't too bad. I'd buy it again. Wish I could've been there for the singing!
I know those of us who paid for the livestream had to log in to see it again, not sure if this link will work for those who didn't pay??
Otherwise, such a lovely show, so many laughs, so wonderful to have another go at the [correct me if I'm wrong] 25 pastors on a pontoon boat. Hahahaha!

My nephew lived in Nashville for two years while getting his MBA at Vanderbilt and performed in various venues on the weekends. He sings and plays piano, saxophone, double bass, mandolin, percussion, and both regular and bass guitars, so I thought he would enjoy some of the music.
We just loved the live stream show. Haven’t seen you since Wolftrap 25 years or so ago, so 3 hours is not too much. We’re a year older than you and we’re fine with 2 hours with the promise of more tonight.
Went to bed after the wonderful singing and felt a little better about the state of the nation. We hope you’re able to do more live streaming. The webs does work but requires a little patience I found. Lacking a grandchild on site, we were 3 minutes late tuning in and “throwing” you onto the TV.
“Good Enough” seems to me a great understatement regarding your show last night; but also understand the humble Midwestern ethos you exemplify. The live stream was perhaps the best gift I could imagine for my 69th natal day, aside from a private Mediterranean or tropical island vaycay. Wishing you all the best for your upcoming 80th!!
I wept with joy during the hymn singing at intermission- YOU are soooooooo remarkable!
EVERYTHING about the show was excellent!!!!!!!
My wife and I have listened to every broadcast since the beginning, re-listened on Sunday on the way home from the cabin, and attended all the State Fair shows. I have read and re-read all of your books and I love your blog posts and the Post from the Host.
During car trips now we listen again online to rebroadcasts.
I want to convey to you that in these unusual times, with so many things tugging at the moral fiber of America, YOU are making a difference. You exhibit kindness, and joy and exude good energy with everything you do. You are helping people think about and remember civility.
I so desperately hope that you will keep doing the live shows- we will attend virtually every one that is offered from our couch here in Goodyear, AZ
lovely post / and you brought it into harbor just right with the habeneo : )

Three hours is never too long with someone you love.

Hold up, you must include Joe Newberry. Agree with all others, but honestly, never leave out the banjo. :)
Amen, and a fellow NC'er at that!

Thank you, Kate! You still can buy a ticket.
I gave my user name and password to a few of my relatives.

By the way I wanted to stand up for Prince, who STAYED in Minnesota and didn't run off like Dylan.
I too am having trouble when I click on the link to watch the show. It tells me it does not exist.
Try it again. Mandolin is not quite as clearly laid out as some, but it does work. Patience - and a grandchild would help.

You will like the Vidalia. They are to onions what champagne is to wine.
I think that they are distributed to other parts of the country. I just had some on my salad for lunch.
Sure. They're available here in NC.
The Mandolin page says it doesn’t know you. Too bad for them.
My wife and I were sorely tempted to fly from Southern Oregon to see the show, but finally decided our age and finances ruled it out.
I look forward to your daily writer’s pages, and read them all.
Please keep going as long as you can, the world can always use brighter lights like yours.
Regards,
Bruce from Oregon
