Re Amanda's request for wedding -worthy poem: try any of Pablo Neruda's love sonnets. At new daughter-in-law's request---she's a fellow English major---I read his Sonnet XVII at the wedding, raising a few eyebrows in conservative Dutch dairyland in central California; my only regret is that I couldn't have read it in Chilean-inflected Spanish.
GK, maybe you've stumbled upon an elegantly simple solution to softening the sharp divides that plague our American landscape. Get everybody to sing together. Participate, not watch. Join in. How about a President with a great singing voice and a gentle touch who punctuates every speech with a sing-a-long? And maybe ends with America the Beautiful. Good idea GK. Thank you!
Grateful for the singalong started to sing myself. “How great”H” is. Yes!!!?!! Paulaha is your age and i am twelve years younger or maybe 2 and a half. As my cells rejuvenate, heart, blood, bone, Spirit is with you, us too.
My wife and I miss your daily email vocal readings with the poem of the day. I saved about six months of them not read when there was not time to listen together, but those readings are running out. Will you consider starting again? Oh, by the way, a few years ago in Eugene Oregon, during your show there, my wife gave you her favorite jam and you two hugged in front of the crowd. We hope to see you again in Eugene, maybe in nearby Florence Oregon where we now live. Thank you for the years we have been fortunate enough to experience your humor! Dorland and Diane Neale
The problem is Permissions. There's paperwork involved in gaining permission to read copywrighted poems for public consumption and usuallly a fee and I don't have an office anymore. So those poems are floating around online somewhere and I'm sitting at home writing.
Okay, so don’t read poems, just talk the way you talk about the American condition. It’s your attitude we cherish, the next door neighbor chatting over the fence. Question, did you sample the jam Diane gave you or toss it. At the time I told her if you did try it you need to have your head examined. There are too many nutters out there. The jam was great though. Dorland
Wow! What memories! I think I was at the Ryman Auditorium that time. You probably wouldn't have noticed me, because I was seated behind a pillar. I had driven down jus for the show, without a ticket, and was lucky enough to get that seat from a "Scalper." I imagine I got "scalped" for their asking price on the ticket, but So What! Just to see APHC in the Ryman! Wonderful! And, yes! All of the times I got to a live show, the audience hymn singing was always outstanding! I remember one evening at a university in northern Texas - the singing was just out of this world!

Blessings on that upcoming wedding !

Concerning AI jokes, this is a tad geeky, but here’s one:
Q: What do you call a vehicle that’s functionally equivalent to all methods of transportation.
A: A Turing Bike.

Look forward daily to genius.

Have you heard the one about the AI that wrote a joke about Itself?
