Great job, women who write.

For those of us who live in the sun,

Swimming in January is fun.

I'm sitting here at 30 deg. Would love to see some snow and ice.

This is not a “contest worthy” entry by any means, but as I observed the abundance of Minnesota (and Wisconsin) license plates here in my hometown of Tucson this week, I was moved to write this.

Tom P.

From Anoka, Blaine and Winona

They flock to my dear Arizona

And sit by the pool

Drinking cold Moscow Mule

Or perhaps, with Lime, a Corona.

While Garrison loves a good snowstorm

His views are, for others, not norm.

To the southwest they do go,

With their camper in tow

Each winter their tushies to warm.

Their RVs are of various classes,

Some As haughty as Ari Onassis

They drive ever so slow

Like turtles, you know

On the road, they are pains in the backsides

Now don’t get me wrong, I confess

We’re grateful for Minnesota largesse

By spending their “cheddar”

our restaurants are better

and as Lutherans, they’re ‘not bad’, I guess.

There was an old,yet still-a-young “Limericker” named Keillor.

To share his many limericks took an entire 8-wheeler!

His “lims” were well-tested

His lim-team team never-bested.

Just kept his best limericks a non-stealers-stealer.

#3 great description saying snowmen/women are “spherical” beings. Obvious but not heard but always observed ☃️

Anyone who can rhyme miracle and hysterical is a winner in my book!

Rhyming "miracle," "hysterical" and "spherical" truly an achievement. Deserves a special mention at the very least.
