Podcast 75 - ...I got into this line of work when I was small, and a neighbor informed me that I had been left on my parents’ doorstep by gypsies, along with a note, “We will return for him soon"...
there was a wonderful newspaper article years ago that told of a couple holed up in their home by snow for weeks, I don't remember how long, but the article continued saying that her son came and shoveled a small path to the door. He said that when he same out she looked out like a mole, and quickly said (something funny.)
Thank you Garrison. You reminded me of a year in the early 50's near Welcome Minnesota when our geese survived under the snow for about three months. Dad told us they would be fine and they were, and we all celebrated when their heads appeared in the Spring. It was great to hear them honking again as we threw them hay and grain.
I first saw Garrison live, with His full radio company, doing an unbroadcasted show at the Dallas Texas Majestic Theater in the late 1980s, then in the mid 90s I saw Him perform with the Dallas Symphony at the Morton Myerson Symphony Center. About 2005 He gave a book reading talk at Highland Park Methodist church near SMU, then about 2011, He told stories for over an hour at Unity Episcopal church, in Dallas. At each of these shows I paid no more than $12 for a ticket. I've loved His wonderful, empathetic, humorous stories since I first heard His show in 1986. But I'm not going to pay the outrageous ticket prices to see Him live now. I'll just watch Him on YouTube.
By the way, AI disagrees about the atribution of one of your Mark Twain quotes...
The quote "Good judgment comes from experience; experience comes from bad judgment" is attributed to Dr. Kerr L. White. However, it has also been attributed to other people, including Will Rogers and Rita Mae Brown.

“Good judgment comes from experience and much experience comes from bad judgment.”
As true today as ever.

Who do I believe?
The bag may not inflate. The fart, however, will flatulate...I think we are all glad it did "Boomer"
Good afternoon Garrison. We hope it will be soon. What can we do to help? rr
Great stories. ❤️
So, when are you coming? I’ll make tea and crumpets.
