"Shane, Shane! Come home again!"....you too, Garrison.

NYC is a busy run ring. St. Paul is our home from the beginning:

"Father Lucien Galtier of France

In 1841, Father Lucien Galtier of France (the first Roman Catholic priest to serve Minnesota) established Saint Paul's Chapel on the bluffs above the landing. Not finding Pig's Eye to be a suitable name for the settlement, Galtier renamed it for the church."

We've got a fine mix here of St. Paul and the River Bend. What more could we ask. Come home.....

I walked around Crocus Hill today and looked at my old houses and my old bookstore and it was very emotional thinking back on the good times but I don't think you really belong in St. Paul unless your grandfathers lived there and mine didn't.

Yes, my St Paul grandfather, when I was 3 or 4, often took me to our Union Depot to watch the steam engines steam from various ports, the best being the big wheels spin and whistle. It was a site not seen or heard before and in many places. At my age 5, in the midst of WW2, we went to Sisseton SD to visit my mom’s farming family and and saw more peaceful scenes. Aunt Bridget from Saskatchewan came to visit us there and told us stories and sang us songs fun and sad. It sure made a difference where we grew up back then and the stories told us and we sung…much like you do now. And why we loved your show here first time round. Thanks for restoring it all. It helped us go back again.
