Well Garrison, I wake at 2:00AM and the mind is whirling with great thought, as I hear it. Yes, I'm listening very intently and often more than not I will act on one of the thoughts that very day. Take yesterday for example. Our son was contemplating fixing an area at the end of his driveway with blacktop patch material. Long story short, it's finished and guess who did it yesterday afternoon. It took a little more than a 50lb bag of blacktop mix and a bit more than an hour of my time. It's all documented if you care to see, "Rich Rader" on Facebook. I digress. Your note of today is out of this world amazing for me due to its relevance to my daily thinking. The lying that has become the norm in our society is driving me nuts, not crazy, just nuts. Today is my eighty second birthday and by all accounts I'm going to be around here, alive, for some time to come. Thanks, Garrison, for your writings. They keep me less nuts. RRoeder

I often wake at 4 a.m., but my thoughts are about a trip to the bathroom. My best thoughts come in the morning afer a cup of coffee when I arrive at our store. At 91, I enjoy each new day with great anticipation. I am a poet, and I often write a new poem in the morning and email it out to friends and relatives. I take note of Garrison's writings and sometimes forward them to those who I know have similar views. I have sent them ,on coccasion, to someone who needs to be shuck up a bit. I spent 50 years in the choir at a Lutheran church. 2nd base. I give ,myself two more years. of life. If am live and kicking then, I will give myself two more. I will let you know if this comes to past.
