Live is as long as it is. You don’t need ID card to know oneself (and if you do, the ID probably won’t help). Live in the moment

I am happy for you, but please share how life can be beautiful for single people whose grandchildren don’t visit them and can’t afford cab rides and to laugh off losing their wallets. I don’t appreciate being made to feel jealous.

This is hilarious and beautiful and made up and true all at once, and I needed the lift it gave me today. Thank you for writing it. You are a good man with much wisdom and wit. How lucky you are to be you at this point in your life. I'm not sure what that means what I just said, but it sounded good, and I meant it from my heart.

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS BEING LOST THESE DAYS, IF YOU HAVE A SMART PHONE. IT ALWAYS KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE.

THE TRICK NEEDED FOR US OCTOGENARIANS IS TO FIND A GOOD PART OF A PARK WHERE, WHEN PROPERLY SAT, YOU CAN GREET HAPPY FOLKS AS THEY PASS AND, IF THEY HAVE THOSE HAPPY KIDS, YOU CAN GREET THOSE LITTLE FOLKS....THEIR SMILES CAN LAST LONG.

AT BEST, WE CAN ALL BE AS HAPPY AS THOSE KIDS ARE....SO, WHO NEEDS AN I.D. ALL THE TIME???....

BUT HAVING YOUR TRUE LOVE THERE, ONE WHOM YOU CAN PUT YOUR ARM-AROUND AND HUG...WHY THAT'S TRUE BLISS!. MAKE IT LAST AS LONG AS YOU CAN....

Why are you yelling?

Since you mentioned being in your 80's

, I know tech is challenging-I am a septuagenarian, but are you aware that in the computer world, using all capitalizations is considered yelling at the reader?? Just a thought. If I weren't close behind you in years on the earth, I would never deign to correct you but I realized I felt severely corrected as I read your text... 😕

Just a thought. Have a good one... Truly....

Although I would prefer it if every one of your posts had 370 million “hearts,” I’m delighted to be number 55 today, which is about the right size group for a nice party.

We’re drowning in gloomy, rainy days here in New England…other parts of our nation are on fire…I so needed the laugh and reminder to breathe, if only for a moment…thanks for that.

Thank you for the refreshing, restorative narrative! Your commentary was especially appropriate because two friends and I attended your Atlanta concert at the City Winery Monday night where one friend accidentally left her phone on our table. A lot of phone calls and hand-wringing was done before we finally recovered the phone. In our efforts to retrieve the phone, we met two charming, interesting young men and a sweet vivacious manager from the Winery. We were so uplifted by their kindness and generosity of spirit that we left much happier than if we'd never lost the phone.

Your commentary was especially appropriate this morning. Monday night two friends and I attended your Atlanta City Winery concert. We loved every minute of it! But returning to the hotel, we discovered one of us had lost her phone. Numerous phone calls and much hand-wringing occurred before we finally recovered the cell phone. During the search, we chatted with a dear, hardworking Somalian cab driver and met two charming, helpful young men who worked next door to the Winery. Lastly we met a very sweet, kind manager from the Winery who handed my friend her missing phone. Having met these kind and caring folks lifted our spirits and renewed our faith a bit in humankind. We left feeling much happier than if we'd never lost the phone.
